My specialties range from first time home buyers to the 65+ client transitioning in to a smaller home or a facility. I have earned the SRES designation, which is the Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation. It focuses on educating realtors to serve real estate buyers and sellers who are aged 65 and older.  It educates and supports realtors who have made a decision to integrate this growing market.  The SRES is awarded to realtors who have the  education to lead 65+ clients through real estate transactions and draw on the expertise of a network of senior specialists, such as CPA's, estate planners, lawyers, clutter and staging experts as well as community resources and services.  I believe that the right kind of planning, recommmendations and referrals can make aging a state to be savored instead of a fate to be feared.

I have been an active realtor in Iowa for ten years. I have become a contributing writer for Examiner .com and am contributing to the Press Citizen in Iowa City as a Guest Editor on subjects pertaining to the 65+ individuals in transition. 

On a personal note, I have experienced the pain of losing both parents at a very young age, the challenge of chronic health concerns and regaining health, the fears and challenges of owning a small business, the blessings of a long marriage and devoted husband, 3 grown children and 9 grandchildren and, of course, my late night companion, my little Shitzu, Bailey,
